JESUS for the little ones!

I remember him. Tall, muscular arms, slightly bent over, with a buoyant voice. In his hands a tattered Bible, and dusty feet. He walked from house to house in my village sharing the gospel, pounding grains with the women, praying with us and weeping over us. We called him Pastor. But later, I learned he was a Pioneers-Ghana Missionary. I was only 6 years old. I remember my father, the Imam and my devout brothers driving him out of the village. Like the other children, we jumped and laughed at him. But that day, he sowed a seed in my heart. He later led me to Christ. And the rest is history.

One of the reasons I chose teaching was because of this story. Our Teachers in Missions initiative is one of the blessings God has given us to bring about the harvest of souls and disciple-making in schools in northern Ghana. Through this program, vibrant and energetic young teachers are teaching basic school children and making disciples.

Indeed, Jesus cares about the salvation of the little ones too. They are not too young to receive the joy of salvation and enjoy its fruits much longer on the earth. We can never fully measure how far one missionary's life and work can affect these children.

Would you trust the Lord with us for provision as we supply these teachers with basic equipment and resources for this great work? God bless you!
